Andrew Mitchell founded Switchhouse in 2014 after fourteen years working as a project electrician for a commercial M&E contractor in central Scotland. The premise: keep the standards of a big-firm job site, but run it as a small Fife-based domestic and small-commercial business where customers actually get to speak to the person doing the work.
Every job certificated. Every consumer unit labelled. Every test recorded. Boring but proper work, signed off properly.
We don't take on new domestic work outside our patch — Edinburgh and Stirling jobs are for existing customers only. Out-of-hours emergency line answers between 7am and 11pm; outside those hours leave a message and we ring back first thing.
